Handcrafted Art. Heartfelt Service.
At Iron Chinchilla, we believe that great art should do more than look beautiful—it should mean something.
We’re a small, independent studio dedicated to creating handcrafted metal art that inspires, uplifts, and lasts a lifetime. Guided by our faith in Jesus Christ, each design reflects the journey He’s leading us on. From intricate crosses to meaningful home décor, each piece is thoughtfully designed and skillfully made with attention to every detail. No mass production, no shortcuts—just honest craftsmanship and beautiful design, made to stand the test of time.
Made by Hand. Made with Heart.
Every piece you see is cut, shaped, welded, and finished right here in our Texas studio. We work primarily with carbon steel, giving each creation a sturdy yet elegant presence. Each design is a one-of-a-kind original, protected with a clear epoxy enamel to preserve their beauty for years to come.
From the first spark to the final polish, your artwork is made with intention—and with you in mind.

Our Promise to You
We know how meaningful these pieces can be—whether you’re marking a special moment, honoring a loved one, or giving a gift that speaks from the heart. That’s why we’re committed to exceptional customer service from start to finish. If you ever have a question, need support, or want help choosing the perfect piece, we’re here for you. No robots, no runaround—just real people who care about your experience.
Meet the Maker
Iron Chinchilla was founded by metal artist Patrick Neuwirth, who brings more than two decades of experience, creativity, and passion to every design. While Patrick still personally handcrafts most of the pieces, Iron Chinchilla has grown into a team effort—focused on quality, meaning, and connection.
His vision? To create art that makes people feel something. And to treat every customer like family.

My Testimony
As you’ve probably gathered by now, the Promise Cross isn’t just another design for me—it’s the heart of what I do. It’s the cornerstone of Iron Chinchilla and the piece that started it all. Since first creating it back in 2000, I’ve been blessed to sell, donate, and give away more of them than I could ever count. And yet, every single one is still made the same way as that very first cross in my garage—by hand, one at a time, with just the bare essentials and a whole lot of heart...
